Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-05-15T08:48Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-05-15T08:48:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S20W100
Active Region Number: 13664
Note Keyword:
COL: Possible collision with previous CME
FOV: Front Bright front; may be evidence of pileup
Ha: Bright emission (likely H-alpha emission)
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
OVR: Event partially overlaps with another CME
PRM: Prominence material (filamentary structures)
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Fast CME seen to the WSW in all coronagraphs, overlaps with CME 2024-05-15T08:36Z. The source is an X3.4 flare (partially occulted) from AR 3664 that peaked at 2024-05-15T08:37Z, observed in SDO AIA 131/193/304, and located around the west limb at approximately W100-W105 at this time. Additionally observed source signature as large EUV wave in SDO AIA 171/193/211/304 starting around 2024-05-15T08:18Z.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type.
